Island Angel Chocolates Produces Specialty Chocolates for The Red Wine & Chocolate Weekend. To celebrate the Red Wine & Chocolate weekend, Whidbey Island Vineyards & Winery released two new red wines from 2002. The Cabernet Franc is a bit more full bodied than the '01 vintage yet deliciously approachable with soft tannins and earthy dark fruit flavors. Their 1st Sangiovese, Tuscany's famous grape, boasts flavors of black cherry, hints of licorice, leather & dark chocolate, and a long spicy finish. Island Angel Chocolates produced delectable chocolates made with their Syrah wine that was sampled and sold in gift boxes for this special wine event.
