One-On-One with
the Chocolatier Are you trying to find the perfect gift for the person who has everything? Purchase an exclusive chocolate gift basket complete with a gift certificate to receive one-on-one training with the Island Angel Chocolatier, Mona Newbauer. In this beginning chocolatier class we will conquer the art of tempering couverture chocolate by hand, delve into creating the perfect truffle recipe and how that really happens, and get up to our elbows in chocolate hand dipping and decorating. The Chocolatier Gift Basket includes couverture chocolate, a chocolate thermometer, dipping tools, and various spices. The class will be held during the day or evenings as required. Fudge For Four - A
Women Only Event Often times in November I think how nice it would be to actually make gifts for my family and friends. If you've had these same thoughts, I say "Let's Do It!". "Let's make fudge together!" On Friday, December 8th beginning at 5:30 pm and lasting as long as it takes, we'll make fudge, pour fudge, maybe even dip some fudge. We'll cut it all up and you can take it with you and package it for all your family and friends. Class Cost is $65.00 and includes everything you'll need to make at least five pounds of fudge to take with you. RSVP no later than December 1st by e-mailing isleangl@whidbey.com or calling 221-2728. Enrollment is limited to four women and will be on a first come, first served basis. | ||

Creative
Endeavors From the confectionary kitchen we've added Toffee Twists to our novelty line up. It's a salted pretzel rod dipped in our famous English Toffee and rolled in almonds. They come by the rod, or in bits and pieces in our Gourmet Gold Bag collection. Dancing Angel Fudge Sauce is now on the scene in both chocolate and chocolate raspberry. It's a fantastic topping for ice-cream. Granny Smith would be proud to know that her apples are dipped in our rich caramel, caramel and almonds, caramel and chocolate, and caramel, chocolate and almonds. Is there really a Granny Smith? To compliment our chocolate bar we've added American Hot Chocolate. It's made from the same wonderfully decadent chocolate couvertures but with whole milk and more suited for the American pallet. Homemade marshmallows in regular and dusted with cinnamon are now at the bar. They are light and fluffy and wonderfully delicious. From the bakery we've added rich, chewy chocolate walnut brownies, delicious apple cake, pumpkin bread and yummy cherry blondie bars. Bars that can't be beat. | ||

Continues We will never stop creating so you can always expect something new here. Coming to the truffle case is Eggnog Truffles and Rum Raisin Truffles. In our Gourmet Gold Bag Collection we'll be adding Peppermint Bark. To our chocolate bar we'll be adding Island Angel Blend Espresso from our favorite local roastery Mukilteo Coffee. Hours will be extended to Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. It's all good in the world of chocolate at 1 Angel Place, Chocolate Bar. | ||
