Dear Ramona,

It's a birthday celebration! Our first year in the biz in Langley and what a year it's been. After opening on February 18th, it took nearly four months to complete the chocolate bar and begin offering hot chocolate drinks, another few months to add espresso and it wasn't until the end of January that we were able to begin offering fresh baked pastries. And there's still lots more to come! We just can't stop!

Wings
We have a complete selection of petite pastries baked fresh daily. It's important to us to offer our friends quality and it shows in all of our pastries. Wings are our specialty--they are petite almond bow tie pastries that are perfect for dipping in our Truffle Shot drinks. Also good for dipping is our petite croissants and palmiers.

Also in the pastry case are raspberry, apple, cheese and maple nut Danish, chocolate croissants, brownies, blondies, and a selection of cookies. All the Danish, brownies & blondies are $1.50 each and our croissants, wings, palmiers, and cookies are 2 for $1.50.

They can be perfectly paired with a hot cup of coffee or hot chocolate to begin another beautiful day on Whidbey Island.

Last year every Saturday in September, 1 Angel Place, Chocolate Bar and Langley Clock Shop presented Concerts in the Lane with Rainey. It was so much fun and we've had so many people say how much they enjoyed it that we're going to do it again. Beginning Saturday, July 7th and continuing through the summer, we will present Summer Concerts on the Lane.

If you are a musician or know of a musician that would enjoy sharing their talents with Langley on a Saturday afternoon in the summer, call 221-2728 and we'll make it happen. We'll provide a ten by ten covered area and electricity to equipment and we'll notify the papers of your performance. And we'll have a summer filled with fun and music.
