Reflecting on my Holiday chocolate extravaganza to Spain I must tell you that life has changed for me. I used to think that drinking coffee or chocolate or any hot drink was just fine being sipped from a paper cup. NO MORE I SAY. There is nothing like drinking a hot beverage from a porcelain cup--not only drinking it but savoring it, relaxing in it, and taking a moment of pause in this otherwise ridiculously busy world we live in. So what is the first thing I did when I got home? I bought porcelain cups! So I hope that you will come in, sit down, and partake of the porcelain cup experience with me. It truly is phenomenal.

Valentine's Day is on Wednesday, February 14th. Imagine you and your sweetie enjoying a decadent chocolate fondue with luscious fresh fruit and old fashioned pound cake. The evening will include a candlelight setting, a red rose for both, and a 15- piece velvet Valentine's Day Box of Island Angel Chocolates.

This is a limited special reservation only event held in our intimate and cozy 1 Angel Place chocolate lounge. Reservations must be made no later than February 10th by calling 221-2728. Seating will be at 6:00 pm. Cost: $50.00 per couple.

Without further adue, let me introduce to you:

Darkest Coconut - First organic coconut is melded into this thick chewy coconut mass, then they are hand rolled, dipped in dark chocolate, and topped with toasted organic coconut. As you can see from the picture it's coconut bliss.

Rum Raisin - California sun ripened raisins soaked with Rum, mixed into a rich puree, infused in a milk chocolate ganache of heavy whipped cream, dipped in milk chocolate and topped with a raisin.

Cinnamon Sensation - White chocolate infused with both Cinnamon Powder and Cinnamon Oil in a dark chocolate shell tinted with red cocoa butter. It's not hot but just right to taste a wonderful cinnamon flavor.

Peanutty Cup - Peanuts, cane sugar, and Criolla milk chocolate ground into a smooth, creamy paste, piped into a dark chocolate shell, and decorated with dark chocolate dots.

All are sure to please all five senses and the tummy too!

Chocolate with Wings - Now you can have your hot sipping chocolate with Almond Wing Pastries made fresh. This is a simple bow tie type pastry that is absolutely fabulous for dipping in our thick rich Truffle Shot drinking chocolate. Our version of the wonderful combination of churros and sipping chocolate found in Spain. A must do experience!

Dragonwater Tea - This Seattle based tea company specializes only in the best teas in the world, in teas that no one ever has to wonder what they are going to get or how fresh it is going to be. They represent teas that are fresh and of the highest quality. Dragonwater tea can be enjoyed in our chocolate lounge using one of our glass cup infusers or boldly as loose leaf in a carry away cup. Retail packages of this excellent tea can be purchased on the Dragonwater Tea website.

Cheese, Fruit & Chocolate Plates for Two - Do you like cheese? I like cheese! This light fare includes gouda, farmhouse cheddar, smoked provalone, and coastal cheddar, complimented with fresh seasonal fruit, with one dark and one milk chocolate truffle.

Pastries - Pastries we make and pastries we bake. Our chocolate heaven now includes all types of Danish pastries, almond wings, our famous chocolate brownies with and without walnuts, and various delectible cookies.
Chocolate of the Month club is still in the works. I said we would announce it this month but I still haven't gotten it all worked out. And so it goes... said Linda Ellerby.
